Overview
Ms. Anderson is the founder and managing principal of Anderson and Associates Law, P.C. She has extensive experience representing clients varying from corporations to individuals, many from a diverse range of industries such as the media, e-commerce and technology sectors. Ms. Anderson founded the firm with the mission to deliver zealous and individualized legal services to all clients.
During her extensive experience of practicing law, Ms Anderson has been widely recognized within the legal industry and the immigration bar for her achievements. In 2022, Ms Anderson was named by Super Lawyers as the “Top rated immigration attorney in New York, New York.” She was also selected by The New York Law Journal as a “Rising Star,” an award that recognizes top attorneys under the age 40. Ms. Anderson commits herself to the legal community, she is an active member in the American Immigration Lawyers Association ("AILA") and Asian American Bar Association of New York. She currently serves as the co-chair of the Member Engagement Committee of the New York chapter of AILA.
Ms. Anderson’s practice includes all areas of immigration, corporate, IP, trademark, labor, real estate and other civil litigation matters. During her years of practice, Ms. Anderson has successfully secured temporary and permanent visas for foreign graduates, scholars, scientists, multinational executives, investors, entertainers, religious workers and many other individual clients based on employment petitions, self sponsored-petitions and family petitions. She helps clients navigate through complex status maintenance issues, consular processing of visas, waivers of the foreign residence requirement and citizenship matters by providing timely and comprehensive advice.
She has also developed a thorough understanding of the unique challenges faced by clients. Ms. Anderson provides practical advice so clients may fulfill all the necessary educational, training, and licensing requirements while pursuing a temporary visa like the H-1B. She advises clients with respect to immigrant visa options, including national interest waivers, standard and special handling labor certification applications, petitions for outstanding professors and researchers, and individuals of extraordinary ability. In addition, she advises clients with respect to employer I-9, LCA, and audit compliance requirements.
In addition, Ms. Anderson frequently handles commercial and business matters for closely-held companies of all sizes, including development and construction contracts, business formations, financing, sales and purchases, and commercial leases. She has provided zealous counsel to corporations, employers, owners, general contractors, subcontractors and design professionals in a wide variety of commercial civil matters.
